Closeup of DVD Laser and Drive Motor

This is a closeup of the part that spins the DVD (or other disc). You can also see the laser for reading the media. When our DVD player stopped working it was obvious that there was something wrong with the drive motor as the disc would not spin at all. To fix it I just gave the disc a spin with my hand and the motor seemed to work just fine after that.
